Burdett FC is a grassroot football club based in the centre of Tower Hamlets, London. Founded in 2008 on the Burdett Estate, the club offers opportunities for young people and adults to engage in competitive football, with teams playing in respected local leagues and regular training across multiple venues. Burdett FC is more than just a football club, we are a community hub, using sport as a vehicle for positive change, social connection, and personal development. Through events, outreach, and mentorship, we aim to uplift and inspire those around us.

Our mission at Burdett FC is to go beyond the game, using football as a platform to empower individuals, promote inclusivity, and strengthen the bonds within our community. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where everyone can thrive, on and off the pitch.
Our History
Established in 2008, our club was born from a vision to bring the community together and tackle the growing challenges of anti-social behaviour and gang violence. We set out to use football as a force for good, giving young people a safe space to belong, develop their potential and stay off the streets. Starting out on the infamous black pitch, we built more than just a team, we built a footballing community. Over the years, our commitment to inclusion, teamwork and resilience has helped transform lives and strengthen community spirit, we are more than just a football club, we believe football can be a positive tool for change.
Our Achievements
Whilst we're proud to have lifted multiple championships within the borough and across London, our greatest victories extend far beyond the pitch. Our true success lies in the positive impact we've made within the community, using football as vehicle for change, empowerment and unity. Through our programmes, we've supported and inspired generations of young people, men, women's and marginalised individuals. By fostering confidence, teamwork and belonging, we continue to enhance the wellbeing of our community and build a stronger, connected future for all.
